Your source material

Only process files you have the right to use. Extracting a frame does not grant copyright, permission to publish, or rights to a person’s likeness. You remain responsible for your source files and the way you use exported pictures.

ClipStills does not claim ownership of your videos or generated exports. The application does not provide a hosting or sharing service for those files.

Breach, suspension and termination

You must not process material you are not authorized to use, or use extracted images to infringe copyright, privacy, a person’s likeness rights, or other rights. You must not use the service for unlawful purposes or interfere with its security or operation.

If we have reasonable grounds to believe you have materially or repeatedly breached these terms, we may issue a warning, ask you to stop or remedy the misuse, or restrict, suspend or terminate your access to services we control. We may take immediate action where necessary to address serious infringement, fraud, security risks, or a legal requirement.

We review relevant reports and the information available to us before deciding what action is appropriate. Where practicable and legally permitted, we will explain the reason and scope of any restriction through an available contact channel or a service notice, and give you a reasonable opportunity to respond or remedy the breach. Immediate action may come before notice where delay could cause harm.

To report misuse or request a review of a restriction, email support@clipstills.com with the relevant details. We will consider your response and any supporting information and communicate the outcome through that channel. Please do not send videos, private images, or other sensitive material unless needed and requested.

Following termination, you must stop using the affected service. Where necessary and permitted by law, we may restrict or delete related data that we actually hold, subject to applicable retention obligations and our privacy policy. Videos, exported images, projects and drafts processed or stored only on your device are not uploaded to us; we cannot remotely inspect or delete those local files. You control their removal.

Termination does not remove responsibility for earlier misuse or limit rights and remedies that applicable law protects, including any mandatory refund rights. You may stop using the service at any time.

Results and compatibility

The tool is provided as available. Browser decoding, color conversion, file structure, device resources, and export settings can affect the result. Check exported images before using them for a deliverable or relying on exact visual or timing details.

Do not use this tool as your sole copy of important media. Keep your original source and use a suitable professional workflow when verified frame identity, color accuracy, or preservation requirements are essential.

Local resource use

Large jobs can consume memory, processor time, battery, and storage on your device. Safeguards limit some operations, but cannot guarantee that every file will complete on every device. Reduce the range, count, or output dimensions if a job fails.

Free and Pro access

Free supports one video, up to 12 images, and JPG or PNG image and ZIP exports. Pro workflows are available to explore with site-provided sample videos only. Pro purchases and processing your own videos with Pro are not available yet. The plans page explains the current boundaries. Existing project and draft backups remain readable; larger previous reviews can be restored in recovery mode for export.

Pricing and payment

Free costs $0 USD. Pro costs $19 USD as a one-time payment, with no subscription or automatic renewal. The pricing page lists the included features. Applicable taxes and the final total will be clearly shown before you confirm payment. Purchases are not available yet; no payment is collected and no paid license is activated through the current preview.

Refunds and cancellation

You may request a full refund within 14 calendar days of purchase. Pro is a one-time payment with no subscription to cancel. Our Refund Policy forms part of these terms and explains eligibility, how to apply and what happens after a refund.

Software and third-party components

Open-source components retain their respective licenses and notices. Those terms govern the relevant components; this page does not replace them. Required copyright and license notices are included in the third-party notices. The corresponding Mediabunny source is available in the source archive.

Availability and changes

Features and safeguards may change as browser support and the application evolve. The compatibility page describes the current release scope, and the changelog records material application changes. Nothing on this page limits rights that applicable law does not allow to be excluded.
